South Carolina Update – Original Signatures Now Required

As of April, 2011 the South Carolina Secretary of State Division of Business Filings will no longer accept documents with fax or e-mail signatures. As such any document for which a signature is required must have an original signature. There has not been an update to the South Carolina law in the matter. The Division of Business Filings is simply enforcing the current law which stipulates that original signatures are required.

In cases where original signatures are required Accumera LLC will e-mail the documents to you for signature and ask that you return the original signed document to our office for filing via regular mail or courier shipping.
