California SOS Suspends All Expedited Services

On Friday, April 17, 2020 The California Secretary of State office issued a letter stating that, all expedited services are being suspended effective April 20th, until further notice! Filing documents submitted with requests for 24-hour expedited services on Friday April 17, 2020 will be honored, however, they will be mailed back to the customer upon completion of the review process rather than being available for pickup that afternoon.

It should be noted that CA SOS did close their public counter in their Sacramento office on March 20th, but are still accepting drop-off documents in the lobby for Business Entities, Apostilles and Other Business Program Documents.

Regular counter drop-offs will be deemed received at 5:00 p.m. on the date dropped off and processed on a first in, first out basis with focus on business registrations and apostilles. All documents will be returned by mail (or via FedEx if label is provided). However, there are no guarantees that you will receive your documents back sooner.

The Los Angeles Regional office has remained open with limited staff and services processing apostilles and domestic partnership agreements. Los Angeles public counter is open from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in a limited capacity.

If you have any questions/concerns, please don’t hesitate to Contact us.  We will continue to provide you with updates as the situation changes.
